Under the sink is a “U” shaped pipe. There should be a nut on each end. Unscrew the nuts and remove the trap (U shaped pipe). Your necklace is probably sitting in it. Have a container to catch the water sitting in the trap.

Crawl under the sink, disconnect the “P” trap (the bent pipe) at both ends and your necklace should be in there.

turn the water off, get a bucket and several towels, next you may need a pipe wrench to loosen the U-shaped joint under the sink. Remove joint and dump contents into bucket. reassemble pipes and wash necklace several times if necessary. Good Luck

Before you take your trap off…There is a tool called a “plumbers helper.” It is about 24″ long and has a small wire claw on the end and a pushbotton on the other end. They are not terribly expensive (5-10 bucks) and you should be able to get it at a well- stocked hardware store. They come in handy for a lot of things.

It should be laying in the neck in the pipe, look down to see if you can unscrew the piece up and below that forms that neck, if it’s pc and can’t get it off you can cut the pipe, otherwise you are going to have to use a wrench, for a DIAMOND NECKLACE I would chew it off if I had to. Good Luck!
